Generator Technicians perform a variety of tasks in the inspection, repair, and preventive and corrective maintenance and modification on Internal Combustion (IC) engines, diesel generators, and other IC gaseous engines.
Troubleshoot and Diagnose Generator related issues.
Perform Preventive Maintenance on Generators
Responsible for managing the day to day service operations for MQ Power Generators in the assigned region, scheduling customer/FSM training, performing & completing MQ product updates, service campaigns, customer service inquiries and reporting/monitoring of product issues in the field.
Responsible for reporting customer contact information, service issues, region activity, call reports and itineraries through OnContact, Outlook and the MI reporting system.
Responsible for developing and maintaining the ASC network in assigned region.
Assist in Development of new training material for all products.
Provides timely and accurate information to Product Managers and Vendors using MI reporting system.
The position requires regular personal interaction with customers to develop and strengthen business relations.
Performs other duties that may be assigned.

Ability to travel (Up to 80% of time)
At least 3 years of field or shop service tech troubleshooting and repair skills of Electrical Power and Generator experience required.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
